Of course you know that part. I had never heard of the music or you and Jonatha Brooke. Your harmonys brought tears to my eyes. The music haunting, sad somehow. So beautiful. I think that giving money to artists as talented as you two and everyone else on that CD! is okay if you can do so, but I am an old man on SS. Not a complaint, just the fax maam. As I cannot support you financially, before I die I would like to thank you both for moving me in a way that I can only describe as 'heaven'. My heart, my soul, my very health all improved 1000 percent just to play that CD. I'm an old hard rocking hippy, how old? Warmed up the Doors at the Continental Roller Bowl in Santa Clara, CA. 1967 I believe, when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. And am not often moved by 'soft' music, normally. But you ladies send me! Every time I listen to the Angel. And I'd just like to say, God bless you both! Thank you so much for finding each other to blend those beautiful harmonies. Good Job girls! You make my heart sing! Oz
Dear Jennifer Kimball. I recently returned from 'hell' (pardon my French please); not really a nice place - hot! - and no music there! On my return to this plain I was given 'the Angel in the House' by 'the Story'.

I'm so glad I found you, Jennifer! I just rediscovered Grace in Gravity after hearing the title track 19 years ago on the Anchorage local FM station during a 2-week trip there that was pivotal in my life. I got the title wrong and when I got back to DC couldn't remember the band name. I was gutted! Believe it or not, I've been looking for it on & off since with nothing but the wrong song/record name. Then, while I was reminiscing this morning about that time, I just checked youtube again (which I'd done about a dozen times before) and there you were! I have been bathing in the refreshing sonic beauty and complex harmonies of both your voices together and solo. There is a simple and pure beauty to your voice both sonically and in your expression. Thank you, and I'm so glad I found you!
What a treat to hear you at Lizard Lounge, Cambridge 12/23/09, Jen. The band, tight yet relaxed and sensitive, and your voice--the sound of white gold.

Dear Jennifer,
I just rediscovered your music. Yes, I was yet another fan of The Story, saw you two perform at the Ben & Jerry's Folk Fest. I kept up with Jonatha's music, but I wondered why I never really connected with any of the lyrics and harmonies that I so loved in the music of The Story. Apparently I was looking in the wrong place all this time. It's so nice to hear those arrangements again. You have a wonderful warm voice and your lyric imagery is so beautiful and complex. So glad to hear it all again, like coming in from the cold.
It was sooooooo nice to meet Ry , What a sweet smile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Jenn, your were so good to have stayed so long with the crowd on 16th street/ I owe you, and one these days will have to pay up.....But I know Joe and all the kids really liked drawing and swewin red and white gingham purses with Danielle and you and Mom. It was truly a miraculous and joyous occasion
I am impressed beyond words and stupefied and slightly jealous/ Waylon joy.
Thank you for being so cordial and safe and sane and charming and welcoming I and my family thank you.
Cheers, Julia

Howdy Jennifer! One of your good fans... well you have numerous of those! There is no need for me to stand out from them. We are all in search of those who portray the truth in their existence as it truly is. You have done that since the begining, and you have not opted to change for so called success. I Thank you for that. There is something that Brandi Carlile said when asked about her hopes and fears... that her biggest fear of success was being forced on her listeners. She realized that in this day and age, folks have the right to choose what they listen to. Yet the commercialized standard lends itself to overuse. Also, she feared that if her style was eventually seen as lacking, since she is herself as she had been from the beginning there would be nothing she could reinvent herself into to be acceptable. For she was all there was. There are those who understand real expression. they are performing infront of crowds to be heard, and at times desiring nothing more than that. Take courage in knowing that you have helped lay the ground work for their expression. If only they knew how much! Hopefully I will be able to spare time out of my busy life this year to visit and see you express yourself once more... a friend by way of your voice and word. Calvin

Hi Jen!
It's been a long time...I met you in San Franscico at my cousin Bob and Natalies! I found your web address on a program from the Night Eagle in Oxford, NY! Hope all is well for you! Looks like things are going well?! Think you'll come back to the Night Eagle? Love your music - keep up the good work! Health and happines too you!
Kudos to you and Kevin for a wonderful show for the BFF volunteers. You were in fine voice and Kevin was fabulous, as usual.
We in your home turf are so fortunate to have such talented artists. The question is not "when is the next great gig?", it is "which great gig do I chose".
Jen: you have the most beautiful voice -- and the harmonies in your arrangements and compositions bring me to my knees! I have listened to my Angel in the House CD over and over since I first got it in 1995... and it still sounds so beautiful in 2006. Your voice touches something inside me - it is haunting and angelic. It pierces through the layers of gook (yuck) in the universe and opens the skies to let beauty shine through.... I was SOOO excited to accidentally stumble upon this website and see that you are still making music. What a delight for me! I just assumed that Jonatha went out on her own and I'd never get to hear your voice again. I never thought to research it on the web... until today! I am so excited to be able to hear your voice doing new things (since I've been out of the loop, apparently!) - and share it with everyone I know who can appreciate your exquisite sound. It's like a brand new adventure for me ~ Thank you for sharing with us.

Kudos to you and Kevin for a wonderful show for the BFF volunteers. You were in fine voice and Kevin was fabulous, as usual.
We in your home turf are so fortunate to have such talented artists. The question is not "when is the next great gig?", it is "which great gig do I chose".
To paraphrase a friend's lyrics, "I choose you".

Great show at Makor on Sat. night! It was good to see you playing in NYC again; hope you can make it down here more often. Glad to hear that some of your family could come to the show.
I'm really enjoying the new CD and Assorted Macaroons. Best of luck in your new roles as mother, wife, and record-label mogul! Looking forward to seeing you perform again, Dave B

We are sisters. We come to Florida every February to relax and listen to The Beach 98.9 in Port Charlotte, FL. Your song, "Can't Climb Up" gets lots and lots of radio play. We love it! Now, we plan to find out what the rest of Jennifer Kimball's music is like.
br /Thanks Jennifer

We recieved one of the 2 cd's this x-mas eve..."Assorted Macaroons" and I can't think of a better gift!!!! It is spectacular!! I have always felt a little left out/jealous of your east coast loop whilst living in the wilds of Northern Michigan but this live cd really brings us closer to one of our favorite artists. "Veering" is my favorite ipod album while walking/veering through the crowds on Mackinac Island. "Veering" is a perfect soundtrack to the hustle and bustle of unfamiliar faces. It brings to life the soul and spirit of each and every face. I can't wait to hear the new album!! Best wishes and luck to you Jennifer! You are awesome! Jeff
